How to set up a VPN extension in a browser and/or install a VPN app

Utilizing a VPN can effectively circumvent blocks and regional restrictions imposed on our platform. You have the option to either install a lightweight browser extension or opt for a comprehensive VPN application. Below, we provide detailed instructions and suggestions for both alternatives.

Setting up Free Browser Extensions:

Touch VPN (Chrome, Opera, Yandex)

✅ Follow the link and click “Download”.

✅ Click the app icon.

✅ Click “Сonnect”.

Browsec (Chrome, Opera, Yandex)

✅ Follow the link and click “Install”.

✅ Once installed, locate the program icon (depicted as a planet) and toggle the switch located at the bottom right to the "On" position.

Browsec (Mozilla Firefox)

✅ Follow the link and click “Add to Firefox”.

✅ Once installed, locate the program icon (depicted as a planet) and toggle the switch located at the bottom right to the "On" position.

Hotspot Shield (Chrome, Opera, Yandex)

✅ Follow the link and click “Install”.

✅ Click on the program icon, read through the instructions, and then proceed by clicking "Next."

✅ Click “Connect”.

How to Install and Use a VPN Application:

Installing a VPN on Windows:

Visit the VPN service website and select the server closest to your location (use the login and password provided in steps 5f and 5g to log in).

To access the VPN connection creation menu in Windows:

1. Open Windows Settings:

• Press the “Windows” key on your keyboard or click on the Windows icon in the lower left corner of the screen.
• Select "Settings" (usually represented by a gear icon).

2. Navigate to the Network and Internet section:

• In the Settings window, choose Network and Internet.

3. Select VPN:

• Click on "VPN" from the menu.

4. Create a new VPN connection:

• Click on "Add VPN connection."

5. Fill in the VPN connection parameters:

• VPN service provider: “Windows (built-in).”
• Connection name: Name of the city of the selected server.
• Server name or address: Hostname of the selected server (numeric value with dots).
• VPN type: “Automatic.”
• Login data type: “Username and Password.”
• Username: powerfix

• Check the box for “Remember my login details.”

6. Click the “Save” button.
