1. Task-based learning.

The method of communicative tasks — the student solves a communicative task in a particular situation, using the language tools they learned.

2. CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning).

Other subjects are taught using a foreign language. The focus is on the content, not on language units.

3. Dog me.

The teacher does not use pre-prepared materials: key language structures emerge as the lesson progresses. The lesson can be completely unpredictable, because it is the student who leads it.
